5 Things to do this Long Weekend in Edinburgh

The sun in shining here on this fine spring long weekend in Edinburgh, so what better way to celebrate a few days off than going and doing ALL the activities across the next four days.
Whether you’re an outdoor sunlight enthusiast or an indoor goblin like myself, there’s no shortage of things to do this weekend out and around town!

Visit the Neighbourgood Market in Stockbridge
You may be living under a rock if you haven’t heard of the Neighbourgood Market at Inverleith Park. The market runs from Wed-Sun, midday til late with live music, trivia nights, food trucks galore, aperol spritz, pints…you get the point! I’d highly reccomend taking a picnic blanket with you as a table can be a wee bit hard to snag, but an afternoon spent at the Neigbourgood market is well spent indeed!

Snag a vintage find at W Armstrong & Son
Whether you’re visiting the Grassmarket or Cockburn St, W Armstrong is the perfect spot to try on unique pieces and quirky fits and bag yourself a vintage piece. Bonus points if you wear your brand new fit whilst doing any of the activities mentioned in this blog post!

Take yourself for a tipple at The Spence / The Register Club / St Bernards
Not an outdoor kinda human? I can relate, there’s a wee bit too much sunlight for me in Scotland this weekend 😂 if you prefer to traipse the darker corners and remmain indoors, why not take yourself for a divine cocktail at The Spence at Gleneagles, The Register Club or St Bernards in Stockbridge? (or hop between all three!)
Each of these unique bars are the perfect way to spend a spring day if the sun is sunning too much for you this weekend.

Watch the day go by at Two Children Cafe
Head down to the newest addition to Stockbridge and park yourself outside to people watch at the Two Children Cafe. An iconic spot to go dog spotting (they are PLENTIFUL in Stockbridge) and treat yourself to a scone and iced coffee.

Grab a gelato and go flower spotting
The spring blooms are in full force and are an absolute delight to walk amongst. Take yourself in your new outfit to Joelato where they regularly rotate their flavors, and meander from Stockbridge to Dean Village taking in the sights and sounds of spring in full bloom!

So, where will I find you this long weekend? Outdoors working on your sweet Scottish tan? Or perhaps hermiting inside working on your moon like complexion instead?
Whatever you manage to get up to, stay safe, spread some love and have a FABULOUS long weekend!
